End of the season in numerous regions

Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 – The Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec (FCMQ) invites snowmobilers to ride with caution on snowmobile trails.  The arrival of mild, spring weather has resulted in the deterioration or closure of numerous trails in various regions of the province.

While certain regions remain privileged in terms of trail conditions, the fact remains that interconnection may be jeopardised.  The FCMQ wishes to remind you that it is important to check trail conditions in your region prior to setting out. This can be accomplished by checking the FCMQ interactive trail map (https://www.fcmq.qc.ca/en/snowmobilers/interactive-trail-map/), via the iMotoneige application (https://www.fcmq.qc.ca/en/snowmobilers/imotoneige/) or by communicating directly with your club (https://www.fcmq.qc.ca/en/clubs/clubs-lists/).

Certain waterways could be hazardous for snowmobilers.  It is thus important to remain on trails marked and staked by snowmobile clubs and respect the signage.

Keep right, respect the posted speed limit, refrain from drinking and riding, come to a complete stop at road crossings and follow from a safe distance... The FCMQ invites snowmobilers to respect these behaviours at all times, for safety truly is an investment for life!

The FCMQ reminds everyone that purchasing a trail permit allows our 200 member clubs to stake and maintain over 33,000 km of trails for their enjoyment.  This year, over 100,000 snowmobilers contributed to the maintenance and development of our activity... thank you!
