The 2020-2021 snowmobile season is now over

PRESS RELEASE

The 2020-2021 snowmobile season is now over

Terrebonne, April 8, 2021 - The 2020-2021 snowmobile season is now over in Quebec. We are now turning our attention to a retrospective of the current season and working on the development of the next one. Snowmobiling is a year-round commitment for the FCMQ, the clubs and the volunteers. Like you, it is truly a passion for us all!

The FCMQ wishes to inform you that the platform for purchasing trail permits is now closed. You will still have access to your profile and to the trail permits you have already purchased, but it will no longer be possible to purchase new trail permits or to buy daily passes.

Snowmobilers will also have access throughout the summer season to the 2020-2021 interactive trail map in order to dream about future itineraries. However, it is important to note that the trail routes will be updated in the fall for the upcoming 2021-2022 snowmobile season. It is important to remember that access to snowmobile trails is not permitted during the summer months.

We wish you a safe and healthy summer.

We can't thank them enough

Volunteers will be working during the summer season to improve trail sections, infrastructure, negotiate land use permissions and validate routes. Our 33,000 km trail network needs a lot of attention to keep it interconnected and maintain its reputation.

It is also important to acknowledge the contribution of landowners, those generous and essential partners who grant us land use permission each year, which account for nearly 50% of our trail network.

We would also like to thank all the people and businesses involved in snowmobiling, who contribute with their support throughout the year.

About the FCMQ

It is dedicated to the development and promotion of safe snowmobiling throughout Quebec. The FCMQ defends the interests of its 198 member clubs and their 100,000 snowmobiling members, as well as those of all individuals, whether they are initiated or uninitiated snowmobilers or simply tourists. More than 4,500 volunteers devote nearly 800,000 hours each year to the maintenance of the provincial snowmobile trail network.
