The CCMQ racing circuit
The CCMQ is a FCMQ committee that is involved in all types of events ranging from drag races on grass and snow, to radar runs. This involvement is carried out through the provision of two basic services. The first involves providing liability insurance at preferential rates for selected events. The second, and perhaps more important, function lies in the provision of training to members in key areas of competition operations. For example, the CCMQ offers basic safety training for club volunteers who wish to organize amateur competitions. In addition, the committee has prepared a set of rules which assure compliance with the Law of security in sport in order to facilitate the work of event supervisors.
Race Supervisers
The race supervisor assigned by the CCMQ for an event serves many functions. To begin with, he/she must ensure that all applicable safety rules are adhered to. This individual also has the authority to decide whether or not the event will be covered by the committee liability insurance policy. However, at no time is this person to intervene in the actual running of the event.
An information kit for competition supervisors training is available upon request from the CCMQ. Interested parties are asked to contact their local snowmobile club.

Depending on the type of race involved, the CCMQ will assign either a representative or an official to oversee the event and thus ensure that the activity is run in accordance with the Law of security in sport and FCMQ safety rules. In the case of sanctioned races, the sanctioning body utilises the rules of the International Snowmobile Racing federation.
