Snowmobliling in Quebec

Practical info

The FCMQ, snowmobile clubs, regional tourist associations (ATR), and Tourisme Québec work closely together to offer you the best possible planning opportunities when you prepare to practice snowmobiling in Québec.

A few planning recommendations:

  • Never leave alone, whether you are experienced or not.
  • Look for information on the regions to visit and choose your point of arrival.
  • Always decide on an itinerary based on the time you have reserved for your winter vacations.
  • Find the addresses and telephone numbers of the hotels and restaurants to establish contact.
  • Determine the average distance you think you will be travelling for every day of your trip.

Sources of information:

  • Ask the FCMQ for the contact details of local representatives.

  • Ask Tourisme Québec for a copy of both the provincial snowmobile trail map and the Service guide.

  • Request information from the snowmobile clubs.

  • Contact the regional tourist associations (ATR) so they can guide you.

  • The innkeepers know the snowmobile clubs well and can help you if you are in need.
