The FCMQ is a source of expertise.
The Québec Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (FCMQ) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of the sport of snowmobiling throughout the province of Québec. From its permanent headquarters located in Montréal's Olympic Stadium, the FCMQ responds to the needs and expectations of its members, as to all persons, tourists and nonsnowmobilers alike.
The FCMQ is available to its members in order to support them and to encourage them in their activities:
- Management of financial assistance programs
- Enforcement of acts and regulations
- Links with partners
- Communication services
- Management of trail permits

Active members are snowmobile clubs who meet admission criteria and whose request for membership has been accepted by the Board of Directors of the FCMQ. They have the right to attend meetings of FCMQ members and their respective regional club meetings . They have the right to vote through their designated representatives, whose numbers vary from two to four, depending on the size of the club.
Individual members are Quebec-registered owners of a snowmobile, to whom the active members of the FCMQ have issued an annual trail pass, in conformity with the provisions of the General Regulations.
Associate members are commercial enterprises working in the snowmobile sector, and associations or organizations interested in snowmobiling, whose request for membership has been accepted by the Executive Committee of the FCMQ, and who have paid the annual membership fee. Associate members have the right to attend meetings of FCMQ members, but they do not have the right to vote, and their representatives are not eligible for appointment as administrators or officers of the Corporation.
Honorary members are real or legal persons whom the Executive Committee has recognized for services rendered in support of the FCMQ. They have no annual fee to pay. They have the right to attend meetings of FCMQ members, but they do not have the right to vote. Individual Honorary members and representatives of Honorary members that are legal persons are not eligible to be appointed as administrators or officers of the Corporation.
