Sustainable development is a deployment of actions that meet the needs of current generations without compromising the capacity of future generations to meet their own. The convergence of the three major concerns of our society (the economic, environmental and social aspects) allows to attain sustainability.
The FCMQ’s Statement of Commitment:
“The Québec Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (FCMQ) pledges to act, beginning today, as a proactive player within its community in order to ensure the longevity of the practice of snowmobiling.
The sport must face up to our society’s current issues and we plan on accomplishing this mission. We wish to bring about synergies and make a positive difference for the benefit of the generations to come. We recognize that the challenge is tremendous.
We are anxious to do our part in the economic, social and environmental sectors in Québec, and thus, to link the practice of snowmobiling to the principles of sustainable development.“
